Sermezzana

The toponym of "Serra-Mezzana" alludes to a land enclosed in the middle and describes very well this country which is nestled between a hill of oaks, firs, agricultural fields and hillocks of olive trees just below the Passo dei Carpinelli.

The village is characterized by narrow alleys and small farmyards between which stands the eighteenth-century bell tower of the beautiful parish church founded in medieval times and built with white stone and boulder.
